Shannon Sletten

Shannon Sletten has always been a very active person. Growing up in Minnesota, outside activities like playing tag, riding bikes and sledding were a part of her daily life as a child. She tried a variety of sports but focused on soccer, gymnastics, and rugby. Later, after moving to Kerrville she began her teaching and coaching career but still loves being outside hiking, rollerblading and skiing.

Shannon continues to play competitive soccer, and has added running, CrossFit, obstacle-type runs, duathalons, marathons and CrossFit competitions into her fitness routine. While she enjoys being competitive, the feeling of accomplishment is her real motivation for pushing herself physically. “I feel empowered by being active and healthy.”
